Help us plan appropriately! Buy your tickets at the first Spring rodeo. Parents sign up to help if you can! Following are complete details about the 2025 MHSR Cowboy Prom. Plan to join your fellow members for food, fun, dancing, and memory-making!

Tickets: $15/person. Purchase your tickets now via Venmo and you can pick up your ticket at the Carthage Rodeo. If you don’t have a Venmo, you can text Sarah Watson at 660-341-2695 with the number of tickets and names of attendees and pay at pickup. This will help us with a headcount for planning purposes.

1) Student Name and Grade
2) Number of tickets you are purchasing.
3) Name of Guest (if purchasing) and indicate if a guest is M (member) or NM (nonmember).

Who Can Attend: All MHSR High School Members (no Junior High Members). Outside guests are welcome to accompany a member, however they must be at least a high school student and no older than 20 years of age.

Location: The Venue at 52nd Street, 951 W 52nd St, Carthage MO 64836. It’s just a short 6-mile drive from the Lucky J Arena.

Food & Refreshments: No meal will be served at Cowboy Prom. We will however have a selection of snacks and drinks available all evening.

Attire: This is a formal event. Typical attire includes prom dresses for our ladies, jeans, and a sports coat for the gentlemen. Of course, boots and cowboy hats are welcome! 

Timeline for the Evening: 

  • 6:30 p.m. Grand March Begins! Parents, Grandparents, and siblings are encouraged to come and enjoy the promenade! 

  • 7:00 p.m. or after our grand march we will dismiss all parents, grandparents, and siblings and get the party started!

  • 11:00 p.m. Dismissal

Chaperones: Chaperones will be on site all evening to ensure the safety of our attendees as well as monitor the behavior of our attendees. There will be zero tolerance if a student or their guest is found consuming alcohol, smoking, or vaping. Attendees will be expected to behave in a manner following the rules for attending any MHSR event. Any attendee who is deemed in violation of these expectations will be asked to leave. If that attendee is a guest of a student, that student will also be asked to leave and the back number of the student will be turned in to the MHSR board. 

Parents/Grandparents: You are welcome to arrive early at the venue to take pictures outside. We do request you wait to enter the venue until the doors are opened for Grand March. There is a large area for gathering outside and for taking pictures. We will have Ricki Higgins capturing photos during the Grand March as well as candids throughout the evening. If you wish, you can also request he take photos of your students if he is available.
